Components | 96-well polystyrene enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate coated with anti-BMP-9 monoclonal antibody Human BMP-9 freeze-dried standard Angiotensinogen/AGT/ SerpinA8 detect Antibody Standard Diluent Assay Buffer(10×) Substrate TMB Stop Solution Washing Buffer(20×) Sealing Film |
Assay Principle | This kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human BMP-4 antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and the detection antibody labeled with horseradish peroxidase are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, BMP-4 present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of BMP-4 in the samples. A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-632 nm). |

Human BMP4 Predicted Functions
Enables BMP receptor binding activity; co-receptor binding activity; and receptor ligand activity. Involved in several processes, including animal organ development; negative regulation of cell population proliferation; and transmembrane receptor protein serine/threonine kinase signaling pathway. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including positive regulation of osteoblast differentiation; regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II; and respiratory system development. Located in extracellular space. Implicated in several diseases, including CAKUT (multiple); cleft lip; orofacial cleft 11; ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament of spine; and otosclerosis. Biomarker of several diseases, including Barrett’s esophagus; eye disease (multiple); myositis ossificans; progressive osseous heteroplasia; and prolactinoma.

Mouse Bmp4 Predicted Functions
Enables heparin binding activity. Involved in several processes, including animal organ development; positive regulation of cell population proliferation; and regulation of morphogenesis of a branching structure. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including animal organ development; embryonic morphogenesis; and regulation of animal organ morphogenesis. Located in extracellular space. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; embryo ectoderm; embryo mesenchyme; genitourinary system; and sensory organ. Used to study Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome type 3; atrioventricular septal defect; cleft palate-lateral synechia syndrome; fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva; and urinary system disease. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including CAKUT (multiple); cleft lip; orofacial cleft 11; ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament of spine; and otosclerosis.
