Components | 96-well polystyrene enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate coated with anti-Apolipoprotein H/Apo H monoclonal antibody Human Apolipoprotein H/Apo H freeze-dried standard Apolipoprotein H/Apo H detect Antibody Standard Diluent Assay Buffer(10×) Substrate TMB Stop Solution Washing Buffer(20×) Sealing Film |
Assay Principle | This kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human Apo H antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples and test samples are added to the wells of the ELISA plate for incubation. After washing to remove unbound substances, the detection antibody labeled with horseradish peroxidase is added for further incubation. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of Apo H in the samples.A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm). |

Human APOH Predicted Functions
Enables identical protein binding activity; lipoprotein lipase activator activity; and phospholipid binding activity. Involved in several processes, including blood coagulation, intrinsic pathway; negative regulation of apoptotic process; and regulation of blood coagulation. Located in cell surface and extracellular space. Part of chylomicron; high-density lipoprotein particle; and very-low-density lipoprotein particle. Colocalizes with collagen-containing extracellular matrix. Implicated in antiphospholipid syndrome; myocardial infarction; and peripheral vascular disease. Biomarker of arteriosclerosis; diabetes mellitus; diabetic retinopathy; macular retinal edema; and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Mouse Apoh Predicted Functions
Predicted to enable identical protein binding activity; lipoprotein lipase activator activity; and phospholipid binding activity. Acts upstream of or within regulation of blood coagulation. Located in extracellular space. Is expressed in liver lobe and lung. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in antiphospholipid syndrome; myocardial infarction; and peripheral vascular disease. Orthologous to human APOH (apolipoprotein H).
